Tech Writing AI, LLC operates Technical Writing AI and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

Data we collect and why

  • Account data (name, email, login credentials) — to create and secure your account (contract).
  • Content you submit and documents generated — to provide the Service (contract).
  • Team data (team members' emails, roles, activity history) — to run team workspaces and audit history (contract; legitimate interests).
  • Sales enquiries (name, email, company, message) — to respond to you (legitimate interests).
  • Usage and device data (IP address, browser, pages used) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service (legitimate interests).
  • Marketing emails — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host, process and secure our Service, including our AI model providers.
  • Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
  • Authorities where required by law.

Retention

We keep account data and documents while your account is active and for up to 30 days after closure, then delete or anonymise it, unless we must keep it longer by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. Contact us through our contact form to exercise these rights; we respond within 30 days.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-user data isolation.

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries, with appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
